St Albans routes start in the middle of town from Bricket Road, so the Upper Dagnall Street and Spencer Street one-way and the Stonecross junction come almost immediately. London Road adds its mini-roundabouts and the High Street crossroads, and the A1081 runs south to The Bell and London Colney roundabouts. Bernard's Heath, Batchwood and St Stephens carry the residential work.
